Also called moosewood, moose maple and goosefoot maple.  One of the soft maples.   Part of 🍁︎ maple  genus Acer in soapberry  family Sapindaceae.

Native to eastern 🇨🇦 Canada and 🇺🇸 USA.

of butterflies and moths, in some areas.

Most plants have flowers of or with both genders.  This tree has flowers of a single gender.  But each tree can be a different gender in different years! [1]
