Also called silver cholla, golden cholla, and Wiggins' cholla.  Formerly called Opuntia echinocarpa.  Part of cholla  genus Cylindropuntia and cactus  family Cactaceae.

Native to the Sonoran, Mojave and Colorado Deserts in 🇺🇸 USA and 🇲🇽 Mexico.
