Also called silver cholla, golden cholla, and Wiggins' cholla.  Formerly called Opuntia echinocarpa.  Part of cholla  genus Cylindropuntia and cactus  family Cactaceae.

Native to the 🏜 Sonoran, Mojave and Colorado Deserts in 🇺🇸 USA and 🇲🇽 Mexico.
