"Giant knotweed" may also refer to hybrids of this plant with its very-close sister-species Japanese knotweed  Fallopia japonica, with the hybrids known as bohemian knotweed  Reynoutria × bohemica,  Fallopia × bohemica, and Polygonum × bohemicum.
