Native to nowhere, this is a hybrid between sister-species lilytree  Magnolia denudata × Mulan magnolia  Magnolia liliiflora, both part of magnolia  genus Magnolia (🏛❀ state flower of Louisiana and Mississippi) in magnolia / 🌷︎ tulip tree  family Magnoliaceae.

Widely planted in southern 🇬🇧 England, and the 🇺🇸 USA Pacific and Atlantic coasts.
