Also called Manitoba maple (in 🇨🇦 Canada);  ashleaf maple (in 🇬🇧 Britain and 🇮🇪 Ireland);  and boxelder maple, ash-leaved maple and maple ash (in 🇺🇸 USA).   One of the soft maples.   Part of maple  genus Acer and soapberry  family Sapindaceae.   It is the only maple with 🌿︎ compound-leaves.
